A PFI CHALLENGE TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS:  

 
            Develop Your IDEA For An Innovative Product Or Service That
 Can Be  Commercialized By
 Start-Up Company in Puerto Rico



This PFI/NSF sponsored
- University Innovative Business Idea Competition - is designed to promote the establishment of innovative start-up businesses in Puerto Rico

University students, at ten participating campuses, will compete by forming a Innovation Team and jointly submitting a "Innovative Business Idea Development and Commercialization Plan" (in English or Spanish). 

To qualify for the competition, a Innovation Team must first submit an Intent to Compete form no later than January 25, 2005 and receive written approval to compete from competition organizers. Qualified teams will submit their official entry no later than April 18, 2005. Innovation Teams will consist of one to five members.

On April 25, 2005, each of the ten participating university/ campuses will then select a Innovation Team to represent them in the final competition. The top four teams will make presentations to a panel of judges on May 21, 2005. 

$9K in CASH and other prizes will be awarded to four winning teams on June 11, 2005.
